Welcome, high school seniors and families. As you are about to embark on an exciting and often overwhelming new chapter in your life, it's time to get organized and prepare for the college application process. While this may seem daunting and, understandably so, I am here to guide you through the steps to stay motivated and organized. At BestFit College Advisors, we can do this together and ensure your college dreams become a reality.


Here are 10 steps to help you get on your way:


1. Set Clear Achievable Goals:

  • Identify personal and professional goals.

  • identify your dream colleges.

  • Define what inspires you, brings you passion, and what success means to you.

2. Create a Personalized Timeline:

  • Make a To-Do List and check off as you complete each task.

  • Breakdown college application process with deadline.

  • Standardized testing dates.

  • Application deadlines and fees.

  • Scholarship application, etc.

3. Organize Your Application Materials to Reduce Stress:

  • Gather documents and materials, (transcripts, recommendation letters, test scores, and personal essays, etc) Create digital or physical folders for each college you plan to apply to.

4. Research Colleges to Boost Motivation:

  • Research colleges that align with your goals/interests.

5. Build a Support Network:

  • Seek support from BestFit College Advisors, your parents, teachers, school counselors, and peers.

  • Share your goals and aspirations with them.

  • Post your goals for visual reminders.

  • Ask for help as often as needed.

6. Prioritize Self-Care:
